Rajasthan Agra and Varanasi Tour
Detailed Itinerary
Namaste - We welcome you with folded hands
Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi
On the first day of your tour itinerary, reach Delhi. Your tour
guide will receive you at the international airport of Delhi and
will further help you to check in the hotel. Relax and stay overnight
at the Delhi hotel.
Day 2 : Delhi - Mandawa
Have your breakfast and leave for Mandawa in Rajasthan.
Enroute, see the exciting destination of Bagar for lunch. Here, you will
also visit the Piramal Haveli. This haveli is incomparable in
architecture and design. You can see here the paintings of flying angels
and Gods driving cars on the walls. Reach Mandawa in the afternoon and
check in the hotel. Refresh and relax. By the evening, you will take a
tour of the mansions and painted havelis of Mandawa. These havelis are
actually abandoned residences of migrated rich merchants, famous for
their architecture and fresco paintings on walls. See the unique and
traditional lifestyle of local people. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 : Mandawa - Bikaner
After breakfast, you will travel to Bikaner. Reach Bikaner and check
in the hotel. Bikaner is an ancient fortified city founded by the
Prince of Jodhpur in 1486. it is a fortified desert city, famous
as the camel capital city of India. Take a sightseeing tour of Bikaner.
You will see the adorned camel carts, women wearing traditional
dress and men wearing colorful turbans. In the afternoon, take a
tour to the Junagarh Fort, a grand structure that towers dramatically
over the town. Built in the 16th century, the Fort holds 37 palaces
and was never conquered in history. Also see the Bandeshwar Jain
temples, Deshnoke Temple, where rats are worshipped, Lalgarh Palace,
Karni Mata temple and markets of Bikaner. Stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 4 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer
Have your breakfast and leave for the city of Jaisalmer. Enroute,
you will stop to see the village of Kheechan popular as the nesting
place of thousands of cranes and migratory birds in the winter season.
Enjoy the beautiful sights of thousands of birds at Kheechan. Reach
Jaisalmer and check in the hotel. Relax and refresh yourself. Jaisalmer
is a fascinating tourist destination of Rajasthan that attracts
tourists for its sprawling sand deserts. You can also take a drive
to see the sunset over the sand dunes of Jaisalmer. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day 5 : Sighseen Jaisalmer
Have your breakfast and take a whole day tour of Jaisalmer. In Jaisalmer,
you can see the beautiful golden walls of Sonar Fort, Jaisalmer
Fort, Gadisar Lake, museum, beautiful mansions or havelis with carved
balconies and screened windows. Later in the day, take a tour to
the sand dunes of Khuri. Khuri is a beautiful destination of Rajasthan,
50 kms far from Jaisalmer. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
After breakfast leave Jodhpur. On your way visit Osiyan, a haven
in the desert with many stunning Hindu and Jain temples. Reach Jodhpur
and check in your hotel. Relax and refresh yourself. Later in the
day, take a tour to the city of Jodhpur in Rajasthan. Jodhpur is
one of the most famous and the second largest city of Rajasthan.
You can see here the royal Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Umaid
Bhawan Palace, Umaid Public Gardens, heritage museum and other magnificent
forts and palaces. Relax at the hotel. Later you can also go on
a shopping expedition to the colorful markets of Jodhpur. Stay overnight
at the hotel in Jodhpur.
Day 7 : Jodhpur - Udaipur
In the morning after breakfast drive to Orcha by car. On arrival,
check into the hotel. Later we will proceed for Local sight seeing
of Orcha. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8 : Udaipur
Have your breakfast and leave for a sightseeing tour of Udaipur.
Udipur is the city of lakes and lake palaces in Rajasthan. This
makes it a rela peaceful and romantic place to enjoy holidays. In
Udiapur, you will see City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon Ki
badi, Fatheh Sagar Lake and Palace, Gangor Ghat, Nehru Park and
folk art museum that houses a colorful collection of puppets, musical
instruments and paintings.
In the evening, take a leisure walk in the city or have an optional
boat ride on Lake Pichola. You can marvel at the fabulous lake palaces
of Udaipur, such as the Jag Mandir Palace and the Jag Niwas Palace.
You will have your dinner at Jag Niwas Palace or the Taj Lake Palace
in a royal setting. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 : Udaipur
In the morning, proceed to the pilgrimage destination of Pushkar
in Rajasthan. Reach Pushkar in the afternoon and check in the hotel.
Pushkar is a delightful lakeside destination famous as a pilgrimage
destination for Hindus. It is also the site for the famous camel
fair of Rajasthan. In the evening, take a tour of the Pushkar Lake
and the temples in Pushkar. Pay your homage at the Brahma Temple,
the only temple of Lord Brahma in India. Take a dip at the Pushkar
Lake, which is considered very pious by Hindus. Stay overnight at
the hotel.
Day 10 : Udaipur - Ranthambore
Have your breakfast and leave for Ranthambore. Reach Ranthambore
by the afternoon. Check in the hotel and relax. Later in the day,
take a sightseeing tour of the surroundings and also visit the nearby
town of Sawai Madhopur. Sawai Madhopur is famous among both local
and foreign tourists for its handicrafts and paintings. Come back
to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 11 : Ranthambore - Jaipur
Early morning, leave hotel to take a wildlife safari on Jeep to
the Ranthambore National Park. Surrounding the area of about 14
miles, the national Park is the one of the most famous tiger reserves
of India. The Park offers you some most frequents chances of spotting
the tiger, roaming in the jungle, relaxing near the lakes or in
the shade of trees or monuments. Other than the tigers, you can
also spot animals like leopards, deer, monkeys, mongoose, squirrels,
crocodiles, wild boar and many rare species of beautiful birds.
Take refreshment in the hotel and leave for Jaipur. Reach Jaipur
and check in your hotel. Refresh and relax. Take leisure walks
on the streets of Jaipur in the evening, to experience the feel
of the city and shop around the colorful markets of Jaipur. Get
several kinds of handicraft items, jewelry, textiles, pottery
and artifacts as souvenirs.
Day 12 : Jaipur
Have your breakfast and leave for a sightseeing tour of Jaipur city.
Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan and one of the chief tourist
destinations of Rajasthan. It is also a gateway city to reach to
most of the Rajasthan tourist destinations. It is famous as Pink
City as most of the old houses here are painted with pink color.
Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh founded Jaipur. In Jaipur, see Hawa Mahal
palace, City Palace, Museum, Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory.
You will also take a trip to the grand Amer Fort, located 11 kms
from Jaipur. Enjoy ride on an adorned elephant to reach to Amer
Fort set atop a hill. stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 : Jaipur - Agra
Take breakfast and leave Jaipur for Agra. Enroute you will see the
popular summer retreat of the Bharatpur's royal family Deeg Palace.
Also take a wildlife safari to the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Famous
with the name of Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary, it is a famous wildlife
reserve of India. Get ready to spot some of the most beautiful and
rare species of birds perching and chirruping on the trees in the
Bharatpur National Park.
Proceed to Fatehpur Sikri, located 23 miles west of Agra. It is
an excellent spectacular ancient city built by Emperor Akbar. See
the grand monuments and architecture in Fatehpur Sikri, such as
Jami Masjid, Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza, Deewan-e-Khas. Reach Agra
in the evening and check in the hotel. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 14 : Agra - Varanasi
Wake up early in the morning and leave hotel to visit Taj Mahal.
Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved queen
Mumtaz Mahal. It is the best example of Islamic architecture in
India and an eternal symbol of true love. This beautiful monument
looks even more spectacular at the time of sunrise. The early morning
sunlight is perfect to take photographs and taking leisure walks
besides the four towers, garden and Yamuna flowing at the back of
Taj.
Have your breakfast at the hotel. Take a sightseeing tour of
the Agra city to see the grand Agra Fort, built by Mughal Emperor
Akbar. Also see Itmad-ud-daulah, Chini fort, Rambag Gardens and
other grand palaces, private and public audience halls and other
formal gardens. Reach the railway station and board a train for
Varanasi. Stay overnight on the train. (If you wish to fly to
Varanasi, we will come back to Delhi and catch a flight to Varanasi).
Day 15 : Varanasi
Reach Varanasi and check in the hotel and relax. Varanasi is a Hindu
pilgrimage city that has a history dating back to 2500 years. It
is also called Kashi, particularly in Vedas and Hindu devotional
songs. Founded by King Kashyap in 1200 B.C, Varanasi is a city of
pacifying ghats on the river Ganges. In the afternoon, you will
take a sightseeing tour of Varanasi. See the Sarnath Temple, Chaukhandi
Stupa, Dhamek Stupa, Ashoka Pillar, kashi Vishvanath temple, Bharat
mata temple, Kashi Hindu University and Ramnagar Fort. Come back
to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 16 : Varanasi - Delhi- Departure
Wake up early in the morning and take a boat ride on the River Ganges.
As you float down the bathing ghats with a boat, or take steps leading
down to the river, you will see pilgrims having ritual dips, chanting
prayers and offering flowers while worshipping the holy river. Varanasi
will truly impress you from its incense smell and spiritual aura
and images of rising or setting sun over the River Ganges and temples
in the city. Return to the hotel, take rest and refreshment.
In the afternoon, get transferred to the airport and board a
flight to Delhi. Reach Delhi and enjoy a tour of Delhi. You can
see here Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutab Minar, Cannaught Place,
Parliament House, Humanyu's Tomb, India Gate and Lotus Temple.
Reach airport in the evening and board a flight to your next destination
or back home with pleasant memories of incredible India at the
end of your tour.
